On the eve of Industrialization Week, which began on June 29, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and New Technologies Asset ISSEKESHEV visited the Urals region. He visited a number of important facilities and reviewed the industrial and innovative development of our region.
As is known, Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev set the task of changing the face of our economy over two five-year periods. This year became the fourth year of the first five-year period of the state industrialization program, which is aimed at ensuring sustainable and balanced economic growth by increasing competitiveness. “Everything must be subordinated to the key task — promoting our exports only to those world markets where there will be long-term demand for our products and services,” these are the President’s words from the Kazakhstan-2050 Strategy.
Stimulating the entry of domestic companies into foreign markets has become one of the key objectives of the Accelerated Industrial and Innovative Development program, which is being successfully implemented in our region as well. During the working trip, Vice Minister Asset Issekeshev reviewed and assessed the work of enterprises important to the regional economy, including Uralskagroremmash JSC.
At the plant, he inspected several workshops and met with employees. It should be noted that the enterprise was founded in 1955 as the Urals Repair Plant, specializing in engines for trucks and agricultural machinery. Since 2000, production of firefighting special-purpose vehicles has been established here. A year later, under the SPIID program, the fleet of technological equipment was renewed and production of multifunctional municipal and special-purpose vehicles was launched. Production is carried out on various chassis. The cost of the equipment ranges from 8 to 25 million tenge, which is lower than the cost of similar products in the Russian Federation. On the basis of the JSC, production of municipal equipment was launched for the first time in the republic; it can not only remove snow, clean and water roadways and sidewalks, but also extinguish fires. The enterprise received support under the BRM-2020 program in the amount of 736.3 million tenge. Uralskagroremmash JSC sees its prospects in expanding sales of firefighting and municipal vehicles and galvanizing metal products.
