Electrochemical galvanizing is considered one of the effective zinc coating methods in terms of quality and durability.
The technology consists of two stages: surface preparation for galvanizing and the galvanizing of the metal itself.
Surface preparation includes degreasing, pickling, rinsing, fluxing and drying. GOST 9.402 regulates the required degree of cleaning of metal structures from scale and rust before galvanizing.
Zinc is applied to the prepared dry product by electrochemical action. An Fe-Zn alloy forms on the surface and protects the product from corrosion.
